Zaphero (Discord) (slushpile) / Hellos, let me explain why I nominated this baffling game. I recommend this game for any game designer to play and see just how important game balancing is to making your player actually use the mechanics you have given them to have fun.
In my experience only the PC/Next Gen bonus half a mode, Mercenaries No Mercy, actually encourages you to use the almost the full, elaborate, combat system through gameplay tension; the rest of the game fails to encourage it because the advanced tech is slower than just using your standard pistol and enemies just feel like they walked out of a Musou game (with Standard Mercenaries just feeling like slow styling on them). Safe in its chasing design trends with integrating a cover system with a complementary campaign built around it, yet brave in making God Hand 2 for one weapon of one costume of one character, there is no game that shows you simultaneously how bad and how good a game can get based on small tweaks like Resident Evil 6.OK!NoYesYesNoNoYesNoYesNoNo.
